Hiroshima: some shocking images of the disaster caused by the atomic bomb.

h08b_78981 On 6 August was the 64th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, Japan by the United States at the end of World War II.

Targeted for military reasons and because of its flat terrain, Hiroshima was home to about 250,000 people at the time of the bombing. The U.S. B-29 "Enola Gay" took off from Tinian very early on the morning of August 6 and on board was un unico carico di 4000 kg, la bomba all’uranio nome in codice "Little Boy".

Circa 70.000 persone si ritiene siano stati uccisi immediatamente, e altrettanti superstiti morirono in seguito per colpa radioazioni of which were made to feel their effects even 50 years away.
